Training and Research achievements

PMI aims at developing the professional workforce of Pakistan by exposing them into new vistas of administrative talent, professional skills and new scientific and technical profiles of the working ethics. Since its inception the Institute has organized 581 training courses/seminars/workshops on themes of national significance in human resource development and planning which were attended by more than 20411 managers and executives of public and private sector organizations.

Research Studies

Research work is an integral part of PMI to support training. Since the establishment of PMI, the following research related activities were done so far related to human resource and employment issues:

  1.          22 Research Studies
  2.          18 Reports
  3.           57 Research Papers

PMI ensure that training courses are conducted on topics which are market driven and are need of the time. This is done through doing thorough brainstorming sessions and exploring different sources for training contents and need identification.  Since 2009 onward research wing of PMI was default. During the FY 2016-2017, the research activity has been revived whereby a research study on “Edhi Foundation in Pakistan   ” has been initiated. The key point in conducting research work under PMI is to ensure organizing training courses in the weak and grey areas in the light of collected data and recommendations.

Performance Review

The PMI has been contributing since 1975 in national development through developing human resource for public & private sectors. Mid level management of public & private sector organizations is equipped at PMI with the latest emerging trends in the field of general management and project management.

PMI has achieved all its planned goals well in time in the FY 2016-2017. The training courses and workshops target achievement remained 100% with a very encouraging participation response. The Institute conducted 581 training programs in total whereby it trained 20469 participants coming from divergent organizations. The total outcome of the institute from 2015-2017 was 16 % of the accumulated output of the institute since 1975. The following table will reflect the performance of the PMI.
